We dermand respect...we will get respect...thank you very much

Honduras has spoken. 111 out of 128 congresspersons ("Diputados) voted against going back in time to the day before the legal removal of Ex-President Manuel Zelaya Rosales and in essence bringing him back to power. 14 congresspersons voted in favor of restituting back Zelaya, and 3 were absent for this particular vote.

The Honduras Congress decision was based on the legal opinion and testimony given by the Honduras Supreme Court, the Procuraduria General de la Republica, the Attorney General Office and The Ministerio Publico, and the National Human Rights Commissioner, on the events of June 28 that removed Zelaya. The decision not to bring back Zelaya to power in any form by the Honduran Congress substantially complies with article 5 of the Guaymuras-Tegucigalpa pact signed by Zelaya and Micheletti.

Last Sunday, November 29, voters went massively to voting booths and elected a new president, Mr. Porfirio Lobo Sosa, in a unobjectionable win over its 4 opponents. The legality of this elections cannot be contested. Here http://hondudemocracia.blogspot.com/2009/09/explanation-why-honduran-november-2009.html I present 10 arguments why these elections are legitimate and valid.

So, this blog entry is to tell everybody, stop interfering with our country. We will not tolerate any more your interventions and will go our own way. Your comments indicating that you will not recognize the legitimate elections and therefore our new President are not welcome and will fall in deaf ears. When you decide to respect us and treat us like equals, we will listen again. Certainly, those expressions, indicating your "displeasure" with the Honduras Congress decision, will also not be heard.

So, to the leaders of Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Bolivia, OEA, Brazil, Spain, and any other who does not respect our will, we say firmly... do not intervene in our affairs anymore...no more unwanted, unsolicited interventions in our beloved Honduras.

Only thing left to say is...Viva Honduras!!! Viva Honduras!!!
