Let me be clear. I, nor anybody, cannot deny the right of Mr. Zelaya of returning to Honduras, but he has to face the legal system and all the formal criminal charges against him. Nobody is above the law, nobody.
In a very measured declaration former President Ricardo Maduro Joest, http://www.hondudiario.com/l/content/ni-pepe-ni-mel-pueden-estar-encima-de-la-ley-maduro has indicated that President Lobo may be already fed-up with the show put on by Zelaya and the ruthless pressures from the Chavez satellites (i.e. Correa, Ortega Morales and of course Zelaya who is a formal employee of Chavez) in explaining the current Lobo strategy. However, Maduro made the point that this is a country of laws and nobody is above the law. Hope he is right.

President Lobo please do not disappoint us...
Dear Mr. President Lobo:
I am hoping that your position as presented in Diario La Prensa (See an article in La Prensa today) where you indicate your willingness to go to the Dominican Republic and escort back Mr. Manuel Zelaya and that you have negotiated with the Ministerio Publico that Mr. Zelaya would not be prosecuted or detained for any political or common crime, is just a maneuver to disarm the public relations campaign displayed by Mr. Zelaya in global forums.
On the other hand, if these declarations are factually true, then you are turning your back to the country, the constitution, the rule of law and everything that we fought for during and after June 28. If this is true, you are giving free reign for anybody to repeatedly -and with impunity- violate any law and thus allow corruption to continue in our country. You are pursuing a mistaken policy of appeasement and not the best interest of the country. With what face can you prosecute any person in the future for political and/or common crimes, when you forgive now, without any penalty, Mr. Zelaya and his collaborators' crimes?
Mr. Zelaya and all his Cabinet members have to face the justice system in Honduras. This cannot be negotiated with anybody...period. We cannot forget or forgive the black suitcases that Mr. Zelaya's people withdrew from the Central Bank offices full of money to fund the illegal "cuarta urna" and other personal expenses. We cannot forget nor forgive his administration corruption, mismanagement, the polarization of the country, the violations of the Constitution including his attempts to illegally put himself as President for life...and the list goes on.
This is a matter of changing our culture for that of unwavering respect for law and order, for our Constitution and democracy, for self-respect and dignity. Please, please, please...do not disappoint us...The country is growing impatient and will start asking its rights again...

One more voice to our request for true independence....

The key, my fellow Hondurans, is to take positive steps, proactive steps, so that each of one of us who want a democratic, prosperous, equitable, and forward looking country, says it in a loud voice: We will not tolerate corruption, demagoguery, chicanery, improvisation, stupidity, politicking, and other ills such as those practiced by Mr. Zelaya and his henchmen. NO MORE....we will fight with reason and debate, with data and figures, with our presence and with our writing, with beauty and intelligence, with faith in our capacity to move forward and not let the spirits of the dark, destruction, buffonery, or violence triumph again.
Let's follow the advise of Mr. Juan Ramon Martinez http://www.latribuna.hn/web2.0/?p=134446 and take proactive and intelligent steps towards our future, not our past.

The Secretary General of the International Federation of Human Rights (IFHR), Luis Guillermo Pérez Casas, indicated that putting General Romeo Vásquez Velásquez as Director of HONDUTEL and the further militarization of other public sector instances is further proof of the continuation of the coup-d-estat in Honduras. Mr. Perez Casas continues to say"while the State is not cleaned out of those who have provided incentives to the constitutional order and while Honduras continues with the severe violations to human rights in the country, it is our duty to continue the political pressure by the international community over Honduras".
Does anybody want any more proof of the well orchestrated and financed campaign against Honduras?. My favorite columnist, Juan Ramon Martinez, wrote it so clear that it gives me the chills, the well planned campaign will go on with a vengeance and in a blood thirsty manner against those who they (The resistencia high command) seem to have propitiated their precipitous fall from power, meaning the National Human Rights Commissioner, Dr. Custodio, General Romero Velasquez, and the Heads of the Supreme Court and Procuraduria General de la Republica. The smear campaign will grow in intensity as time goes by.
We have to react in a conclusive and energetic manner to the sort of accusations such as the ridiculous statements made by this person Perez Casas. We have to and will denounce again and again the double standard used by this people to judge us in such a biased and loopsided manner, where the constitutional and common criminal crimes of Mr. Zelaya and his cabinet do not seem to matter and where they conveniently forget that unity means participation by all, not only the chosen ones or those that support their own purposes.
We need to tell the world again and again:
We will not lower our head anymore. If you want to accept us, do so, but we will not seek nor tolerate any more acceptance with conditions nor we will accept any more interference in our own internal affairs. If you do not accept these terms, you are free to withdraw your diplomatic representation from our country and return whenever you are willing to respect us as equals. Anything less will not be acceptable. Finally, we will not seek the blessing of any country, organization or the international community to conduct our affairs, laws, policies and government. We will join any organization that will benefit us in the long run and we will establish relations with any government who benefits us in the long run. Same with dropping any type of relation with any country who does not respect us.

Los requerimientos de la "Res" y de los Hijos de Chavez
De acuerdo con Chavez, Ortega, Correa y ahora Fernandez el presidente de la República Dominicana,sólo se puede superar la actual falta de reconocimiento del Gobierno de Honduras por parte de varios países de la región Sur Andina con:
1) La convocatoria a elecciones,
2) La sanción a los golpistas.
3) El regreso del mandatario depuesto, Manuel Zelaya
4) Que Zelaya pueda retornar a Honduras "sin ser objeto de persecución parte de la Fiscalía", ya que en Honduras "no hay garantías plenas" para el regreso del ex mandatario, quien debe venir a enfrentar las causas judiciales incoadas en su contra por diversos actos reñidos con la ley durante su administración.
5) Que Zelaya se pueda integrar como diputado al Parlamento Centroamericano, “como le corresponde, por pleno derecho" ya que todos los ex presidentes de la región al concluir su mandato pasan a ser parlamentarios centroamericanos.
6) El "reconocimiento legal" de la resistencia, para que pueda convertirse en "partido político"
7) La constituyente
Valgame Dios que banda de zarandajos...que se vayan al carajo y que nos dejen en paz.
Renuevo mi pedido al Presidente Lobo que ya se deje de paños tibios y que diga NO MAS. NO MAS agachar la cabeza y decirles que se queden con el paqueton de Zelaya. Cierrele el paso a el Salvador y Nicaragua a Puerto Cortes y todo su comercio con Honduras...A ver quien sigue chistando.
Enséñele la puerta a los Embajadores y/o a la representacion diplomatica de Brazil,Ecuador, Nicaragua, Bolivia y cualquier otro que insista en no reconocernos como pais. Cuando cambien de actitud y nos traten con respeto, entonces los recibiremos de nuevo con los brazos abiertos.

Falta gallardía y dignidad
por Gaspar VallecilloManuel Zelaya dejó un pandemonio que Lobo no corregirá si no se dedica al quehacer interno y deja de perder el tiempo quedando bien con quienes quieren avasallarnos.
Su obsesión es ser reconocido por los países que rompieron relaciones con Honduras. Esa paranoia lo hace cometer errores crasos que con creces pagamos ya que cede ante las peticiones de los interesados en mangonearlo y someternos, que amenazan con dar si damos o nos quitan lo que dieron y cada vez que acepta vienen más "solicitudes" que solícito implementa.
Violentó la ley al firmar en dominicana un acuerdo lesivo para Honduras aun sin haber tomado posesión. Abusó y usó a los precandidatos perdedores como garantes de ese delito. El día que juró cumplir y hacer cumplir la ley y que sentenció "Los corruptos a la cárcel", fue a "liberar", como primera acción ilegal de su gobierno, al prófugo de la justicia y esta, calló y se acomodó al nuevo capataz de esta finca llamada Honduras.
Escribí "Zelaya será el cuervo que le sacará los ojos". Lo tiene cerca, arremetiendo contra su gobierno, cometiendo sedición y "proponiendo" arreglos para su regreso libre de polvo y paja.
Si somos un país pobre lindando en la miseria y limosneros, en lugar de reducir el gasto público lo incrementó con el clientelismo inútil como primera prueba de su "humanismo cristiano". Ahora más abatidos, busca condoler a otros países para que nos saquen las castañas del fuego, porque nosotros con los gobernantes que tenemos, no sabemos, no podemos ni queremos trabajar para honrar esta patria que estamos perdiendo.
Imperdonable que haya ido a rendirle honores a Arias, el tico que llamó "adefesio" a nuestra Constitución. Forma una Comisión de la Verdad para que busque la mentira que mejor se acomode a la verdad de otros, cuando todos sabemos lo que pasó. Deshonró a mi patria al recibir en casa de gobierno al "pendejo de la I a la P", como le dijo Chávez a Insulza, antes de comprarle la conciencia y en nombre de los hondureños expresarle "es un honor tenerlo en Honduras". ¿Qué honor merece el que nos atacó por defender nuestra democracia y expulsó de la OEA? Insulza buen mandadero expresó en el recinto presidencial que sería bien visto que Zelaya regresara.
Lobo mencionó que habló con el presidente de la Corte porque sería un problema para el país tener a un presidente preso; que él garantiza un trato con la dignidad que merece el prófugo. Irrespetuosa intervención del Ejecutivo en el Judicial. Al enterarse del estado de derecho corrigió el entuerto aclarando "nadie tiene inmunidad". Tardado y lento.
Correa, el ecuatoriano con cerebral diarrea, "exige nuevas elecciones para que participe Zelaya". El ignaro de Canahuati dice "no vale la pena contestar". Lobo: "esas son tonterías". Estos son los hombres que defienden nuestra soberanía. Nadie nos respetará si no nos respetamos y hacemos que se nos respete.
Ortega el "nica" y Funes el "guanaco" nos piden pruebas de democracia. Cerremos las fronteras. No más canales secos. Los chavistas al carajo. No dependemos de ellos, les compramos y nada les vendemos. Ni una tustaca.
Gobernar sin coraje, sin conciencia, sin civismo ni amor por nuestra soberana determinación es entregar la patria al peor postor. Es traicionar a quienes creyeron que Lobo sí podía ser diferente. La falta de gallardía y dignidad es también falta de "güevos".

Se lo dijimos Sr. Presidente
Sr. Presidente Lobo,
Después de las declaraciones muy desacertadas e injerencistas del presidente del Ecuador, el Sr. Correa, creo que vale la pena que recapitule y piense detalladamente su política exterior. No podemos continuar agachando la cabeza buscando desesperadamente la aceptación internacional. Los miembros de UNASUR (excepto Colombia y el Peru que muy dignamente nos han dado su apoyo) y/o los de ALBA, no reconocerán a Honduras a menos que el Sr. Zelaya venga de regreso al pais, que tome el poder de nuevo, y que termine lo que comenzó en su momento,el establecer una dictadura vitalicia por medios quasi-legales.
Escuche el consejo de múltiples personas incluyendo el Comisionado de los Derechos Humanos el Sr. Ramón Custodio, los columnistas Juan Ramón Martinez, Segisfredo Infante, Alvaro Albornoz, Gloria Leticia Pineda, entre otros, los cuales le dicen levante la cabeza y abandone la idea de complacer a aquellos países que no nos reconocen o reconocerán en el futuro, y si concéntrese en aquellos que nos tendido la mano como amigos e iguales. NO podemos permitir que nos sigan humillando, pero todo comienza con un solo acto: el de decir no mas.....
Puede comenzar por no asistir a la cumbre en España, indicando a los cuatro vientos, que su gobierno es legitimo por que es la voluntad de nosotros los hondurenos.

Is President Lobo's administration waking up...finally?
The Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Mario Canahuati, indicated that they will pursue strenthening relations only with those countries that have recognized us as a country. Mr. Canahuati indicated that there is no sense to continue wasting time and valuable resources trying to convince those countries that have not, and most likely will not recognize us, until their star pupil -Mr. Zelaya Rosales- is back in power. Hopefully this does represent a change in foreign policy, which in my opinion is extremely needed at this point.

Tienen valor de reclamarnos...una leccion de historia...
En Venezuela Chávez intento en Febrero de 1992 derrocar en un golpe de estado fallido al Presidente electo Carlos Andrés Pérez. Chávez fue encarcelado después de fallar el golpe de estado. Grupos fieles a Chávez intentaron en Noviembre de 1992 otro golpe que estado, que también fallo. El Presidente Rafael Caldera perdono a Chávez por sus delitos políticos y por intentar un golpe de estado al gobierno constitucional y libremente electo por el pueblo. Esto le permitió comenzar con un plataforma intacta y apoderarse del poder eventualmente. Brasil fue una dictadura militar desde el golpe de estado MILITAR que derrocó al presidente en funciones João Goulart el 1 de Abril de 1964. La dictadura militar duro hasta 1985 cuando José Sarney fue electo Presidente de la República Federativa del Brazil. Noten que las elecciones de Sarney en 1985 fueran hechas bajo el auspicio de los comandantes Militares en el poder, y bajo la Sexta Constitución (1967-1988) que también fue producto de la dictadura militar. La Séptima Constitución (1988-presente) fue una respuesta a la Constitución de los militares. En ningún momento se dudo la legitimidad de las elecciones de Sarney....
En 1972 un junta militar y “revolucionaria y nacionalista” derrocó al gobierno del Presidente José María Velasco Ibarra del Ecuador. El golpe de estado fue dirigido por el General Guillermo Rodríguez y el Comandante de la Naval Jorge Queirolo G. El “Presidente” Rodríguez, verdaderamente de facto, exilio al Presidente legal Velasco Ibarra a la Argentina. El General Rodríguez permaneció en el poder hasta 1976 cuando fue removido por otra junta militar comandada por el Admiral Alfredo Poveda, siendo los demás miembros de la junta el General Guillermo Durán Arcentales y el General Luis Leoro Franco. Esta Junta Militar, después de estabilizar al Ecuador económica y socialmente, organizó elecciones democráticas que permitieron al nuevo Presidente asumir el cargo.
Con que cara nos vienen a reclamar Lula da Silva, Chávez y Correa que nuestras elecciones no son validas....solamente gente ilusa o que no piensa puede continuar pensando que la constituyente es la solución a nuestros problemas y que la nuestra no es una democracia o que las elecciones NO fueron legitimas. Queda todavía el persistente "jefe de jefes" y "revolucionario de calcetin de seda" don Manuel Zelaya Rosales, que desde la distancia nos sigue jorobando la vida y no enfrenta la justicia del país y sigue reclamando por la "Libertad democratica de los hondurenos" , mientras devenga jugoso sueldo de $20,000 al mes por parte de su controlador Chavez.

Reconciliation and building up a new Honduras
We have to separate two related yet separate issues: internal reconciliation and establishing a new Honduras. Yes, part of establishing a new Honduras requires building up the internal reconciliation between those groups in Honduras who were so blatantly distanced -even further- by the rhetoric and politics of Mr. Zelaya Rosales. Reconciliation is needed to put us back in the track of working together to find internal solutions to our problems. Mr. Zelaya Rosales managed to polarize the nation to a level not seen before hand.
Mr. Ramon Custodio, the National Human Rights Commissioner, described this clearly, by indicating that "Hondurans did not elect a president only for achieving reconciliation, the new president was elected to govern well the country. Good governance includes reconciliation, but is not the only important aspect." See a report in HonduDiario (Too see article please click here).
We have also to evaluate and clearly define our foreign policy vis-a-vis our own national identity. We cannot allow any more intervention in our national affairs. No more Venezuela, Ecuador, Nicaragua or Brazil governments telling us what to do, nor the US or the European Union for that matter. We need to grasp the idea that we need to evolve as a nation alone...and alone only...
